Accentuate the Positive is a community-wide celebration, to salute the positive aspects of life in the region, as well as the people and organizations that make a measurable difference in the community. Join thousands of quality of life supporters at the next Accentuate the Positive fall 2009.
avenue of the stars
Starting before the luncheon, guests are invited to stroll through the Avenue of the Stars, an interactive and thought provoking exhibit featuring the award winning work of the Silver Star Award recipients and other businesses and organization that are impacting our community in a unique and positive way. The exhibit will close at noon for the luncheon and then re-open immediately following the event. Show case your organization in the Avenue of the Stars. Application form coming summer 2009.
making a genuine difference award
In 2005, Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, in conjunction with Renown Health presented the first perpetual Making a Genuine Difference Award to an individual whose “lifetime” commitment to quality of life in the Truckee Meadows has gone above and beyond. Past winners include:
